On February 5th, the UNINOVA Auditorium hosted the event "Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering Day - Engineering That Creates the Future," an initiative aimed for high school students. The event featured guest speakers who shared their experiences, challenges, and achievements, offering valuable insights into trends and innovations within their respective fields. Eng. Catarina Ferreira presented the topic "Telecommunications Engineering: What Is Done in Practice!", providing a practical and detailed view of the field. Eng. Luís Carvalho highlighted "The Importance of Different Skills for Electrotechnical Engineers in Their Career Paths," while Eng. Pedro Albuquerque discussed "Electrotechnical Engineering as a Passport to Whatever You Want to Be." Lastly, Eng. Bruno Ribeiro introduced the topic "GNC/AOCS Engineering and Space Debris Removal."

This initiative provided a unique opportunity for students to gain knowledge about various areas of electrotechnical engineering, current trends and innovations. Students were able to engage directly with the speakers, ask questions, and receive guidance on the job market and career options. The organizers expressed their gratitude to the speakers, sponsors, and everyone involved, emphasizing the importance of such events in sparking interest and guiding future engineers towards successful careers in electrotechnical and computer engineering.
